Tom Brady shares awesome moment with young cancer patient

Tom Brady took a moment after a recent Patriots practice to spend time with a young boy and his family. The boy’s name is Gabe Lester. He’s 11 years old and was diagnosed with cancer in 2011.

As noted in the tweet, the young fan had chemotherapy just before meeting Brady. You can watch the touching moment in the video below.

Brady first introduces himself to Gabe, and he signs his jersey and hat, as the boy’s dad says, “The two things he said: He said he he wanted to go to New England to watch the Patriots play, and the second one was to meet Tom Brady. I said, ‘I don’t know that I’ll be able to do it, but I’ll do my very best.”.

Brady replies, “Nice job, dad. Way to go, baby.”.

At the end of the video, Brady gives Gabe a fist bump and tells him, “You’re gonna get through it.”.
