Janoris Jenkins had been partying in Florida before brother charged with manslaughter

New York Giants' Janoris Jenkins during training camp at the NFL team's facility in East Rutherford, N.J., on June 4.

Janoris Jenkins was in Florida to host a series of parties when his brother was charged Wednesday with aggravated manslaughter after a dead body was found at Jenkins’ home in Fair Lawn, N.J., A man who identified himself as a party planner told USA TODAY Sports.

“We were doing a (party) tour at the time that had already been planned,” said the man who identified himself as Dro Johnson, listed on online party promotions affiliated with Jenkins. “Enjoying his fans and friends.”.

The New York Giants’ cornerback and his agents, Neil Schwartz and Jonathan Feinold, have not responded to voicemails and emails seeking comment. The team has said it believes Jenkins has been at his off-season home in Florida since minicamp broke June 14.

The next party is scheduled for Saturday at an unidentified location in Orlando. Jenkins’ nickname is JackRabbit and the party has been billed online as “JackRabbit Mansion Pool Party.”.

One of the party’s promotional images, featuring a bare-chested Jenkins standing in front of two bikini-clad women, was posted on Jenkins’ Facebook account at 1:14 a.M. Tuesday with this comment: “Lit the right wayyyy!!!”.

But that was before his brother, William H. Jenkins, was arrested on a parole warrant. Police charged him with manslaughter after they found the body of Roosevelt Rene, 25, at Jaronis Jenkins’ home.

“I don’t really know where we’re at” with the Saturday party, said Johnson. “I’ve been waiting for him to call back to see if we’re still on go. But I don’t really know what’s going on, man. It’s a sad situation that occurred.”.
